Malta-based casino firm Videoslots has said it will enter the sports betting sector with the launch of a new sportsbook service.
The sportsbook will be run on the Managed Trading Services (MTS) platform of Betradar. In an announcement to the market, Videoslots said that they will bring in the sportsbook product at the start of 2020 as they aim to diversify their model.
The new venture will be run by risk management expert Martin Calleja, who came on board with Videoslots earlier in 2019. He will be named as Head of Sportsbook and speaking about the new launch, he said it was an exciting venture:
“We already have a wealth of loyal players who are sure to benefit from this partnership as it will help us guarantee the best possible service.”
As a new operator in the sports betting sector Videoslots says that it intends to run its own trading model but will rely on Betradar’s experience to deal with scale demands.
Videoslots was set up in 2011 and is a well-known presence in the online sector. It has won a number of awards for its games, customer service and promotions.
The Managing Director of Betrader, Paolo Personeni said that the deal with Videoslots would give them a long-term partner, and that the trading teams from the two firms would work together.
The deal also continues a year of growth for Betradar. In August, the firm strengthened their partnership with the National Football League and earlier this month they acquired multi-platform business Optima. Based in Switzerland, Beradar was set up in 2000 and has grown significantly. The firm supplies sports data to a number of sports bodies around the world in several sports.
