Gaming group Skywind is set to add a new market to its existing reach after striking a deal with Italian betting organisation Snaitech.

Skywind have been attempting to increase their presence in a number of regulated markets throughout Europe in recent months. And this new deal will give them access to one of the most significant betting markets in the European industry.

Discussing the deal, the Managing Director at Skywind, Oren Cohen Shwartz, said that the values of the two groups aligned, and that they would now be able to provide local-focused casino games to Italian players in a growing sector:

“Italy is an important market for both local and global operators. The market enjoys a year- to-year increase in revenues and we are pleased to have extended our reach and enable our partners to offer our games and engagement tools in the market.”

He also emphasised the importance of promoting responsible gaming, which he said would be a key part of the arrangement with Snaitech.

Snaitech will provide Skywind Group’s roster of high-end games to their Italian customers under the deal, an arrangement that the sports and digital director at Snaitech, Alessandro Allara, said they were satisfied with. He echoed the sentiments expressed by Skywind governance on responsible gaming, saying that an important part of the deal would involve providing their customers with tools to protect themselves and information on problem gambling, alongside the new Skywind content.

The deal is the latest phase in Skywind’s growth in the European market, which has been boosted by a series of new releases. The most recent is The Last Kingdom, which the company says was inspired by the well-known BBC series of the same name.
