High profile betting industry operator LeoVegas has increased its commitment in the area of sports integrity, announcing that it will become the fifth company operating in the sports betting sector to join up with the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) which was relaunched in June.
Joining the Association means that the LeoVegas.com brand will begin providing IBIA’s global betting monitoring system with data from its operation. The intention is that data from the brand’s other main betting sites, which include Royal Panda, Pixel.bet and 21.co.uk, will also submit their data.
Speaking about the new addition to the Association’s ranks, the IBIA CEO, Khalid Ali, said that LeoVegas was a fast-growing international company and he welcomed their commitment:
“I welcome the company’s investment in, and commitment to, betting integrity and encourage all responsible operators to join our collective effort.”
For LeoVegas, their Communications Director, Hans Uhrus, said that the company was proud that during their rapid growth in multiple markets, they had shown an ongoing focus on providing a safe betting service that protected all of their customers. He also pointed to the regulatory changes that are happening in a number of jurisdictions, including the Netherlands and Germany, which was emphasising the importance of betting companies belonging to betting integrity bodies.
The IBIA brands itself as the world’s foremost voice on integrity in the betting industry. The Association is effectively run by gambling industry operators and aims to safeguard their reputation by working together to solve integrity issues. The IBIA has built up partnerships with a number of leading sports bodies and gambling watchdogs and has co-ordinated with these stakeholders on numerous occasions to provide betting data and information to tackle corruption.
