High-profile sports betting operator Kambi has added to the number of industry incumbents who have signed up with the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA).
As part of its commitment to the Association, Kambi will be given permission to use the IBIA’s alert and global monitoring platform and will also be able to add data to the IBIA platform and thereby help with the global push to boost the integrity of the betting industry.
A number of betting brands holding membership of the IBIA already use the Kambi sportsbook, including well known operators such as 32Red, Unibet, 888sport and LeoVegas.
Speaking about the new deal, the Kambi Head Sportsbook Controller, Oliver Lamb, said that they were delighted to be combining with other brands at the IBIA, and that they share the Association’s commitment to uphold the integrity of sport and to protect customers:
“It is excellent to be stepping up our ongoing commitment to these principles, and that IBIA have seen Kambi as an important partner in promoting them.”
As a member, Kambi will have the chance to be involved in policy discussions at the IBIA and will also be able to access the IBIA monitoring platform; a tool that enables operators to both detect and report any suspicious betting patterns in regulated markets.
Signing up Kambi to the IBIA membership represents a significant milestone for the Association, which now numbers around 50 betting brands, covering the online and retail markets.
The Association also has long term data-sharing arrangements with several sports and betting industry regulators, through which it shares betting data, assisting in the enforcement of rules against corruption in sport. It also represents the betting industry in high profile forums including the IOC, Council of Europe and the United Nations.
